Clinical Psychologist

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years NHS experience. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from various populations, across all age groups and from a range of backgrounds. My clinical approach is integrative of therapeutic approaches such as, narrative therapy and CBT including third-wave approaches, CFT and DBT. I hold a relational lens central to my work with the application of skills from DDP informed practice and systemic ideas.

I have experience of complex case formulation and caseload management, with my work experience predominantly focusing on children and young people’s emotional wellbeing, mental health and physical health. I am an experienced supervisor (clinical and line management) and have facilitated collaborative consultation and reflective practice spaces for professionals. I place an emphasis on trauma-informed practices and approaches within my work, I enjoy working systemically and have various experiences of delivering professional training and consultation.

I have a calm and compassionate interpersonal style with interests including working alongside marginalised communities, community psychology and co-production.

Specialisms

I feel my specialist area is working with children, young people and those in their support networks. I have a passion for understanding the journey someone has been on and the whole person including physical and mental health. I have an interest in working with people who have experienced trauma, some of the areas I specialise in include:

My Approach

My clinical approach and the lenses I bring are integrative, I believe whichever therapeutic approach is most suited to understanding and supporting a person, the key ingredient is the therapeutic relationship. I advocate that there is such power in someone having their story and experiences truly heard and validated. Co-creating a safe and supportive therapeutic space should never be underestimated, it’s value and impact can be life changing.

Personal Joys

I find joy in connecting with the important people in my personal life, who bring laughter and help me to create cherished memories. I love witnessing expression through music and dance, the performing arts have a special place in my childhood and have inspired my strengths over the years.
