Founder- ceo – Psychologist – Coach
Hello, my name is Christina Jassi, and I am the founder and CEO of Finding Joy Psychological Services (FJP). With over 20 years of experience in the health and well-being sector, including more than 17 years working within the National Health Service (NHS), I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my private practice, which I’ve been developing since April 2019.
I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and attachment-informed EMDR Therapist. In addition to these specialties, I have experience in a variety of psychological modalities, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT), and psychodynamic therapy principles. My extensive experience allows me to tailor treatment to meet the individual needs of both children and adults, with no upper age limit.
I’ve had the privilege of working in various NHS settings, including primary and secondary mental health services, and health psychology services. My work has spanned mild to moderate mental health difficulties through to more complex cases. Some of the areas I specialize in include:
I have a particular specialism in working with clients who face co-morbid physical and mental health challenges, including conditions such as long COVID, COPD, chronic pain, diabetes, cancer, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Recently, in my private practice, I have further expanded my expertise in working with young people, their families, and those navigating neurodiversity and complex PTSD. Some additional areas I specialize in include:
I pride myself on my ability to develop strong, trusting relationships with my clients. I believe the foundation for therapeutic success lies in our relationship, and I will work with you to create a space where you feel comfortable and supported throughout your journey. As a team, we will explore your challenges, tap into your strengths, and work towards a life that brings you more peace, balance, and joy.
In my personal life, I find joy in nature and love taking daily walks that allow me to connect with the world around me. I’m a dedicated meditator, which helps me stay grounded and present. I also cherish time spent with family and friends and have recently developed an interest in Dendrology, the study of trees and woody plants. In addition, I dabble in poetry and photography—feel free to explore my gallery, where I’ve shared some of my favourite work.
