Educational Psychologist
I’m an Educational and Child Psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting children and young people aged 0–25. I hold a Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Alongside my school based work, which focuses on assessment, consultation and training, I offer therapeutic support for children and young people who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, difficulties with self‑esteem, or challenges around change. My therapeutic work draws on evidence‑based approaches such as cognitive‑behavioural strategies, emotion‑focused work, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and strengths‑based techniques. My work also includes direct support for families, drawing on Non‑Violent Resistance (NVR) approaches to strengthen relationships, reduce conflict, and help parents feel more empowered and connected.
My practice is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe in a child centred approach and that every child communicates something important through their behaviour, emotions, and relationships. My role is to help make sense of those experiences in a way that feels safe and empowering. I work closely with families, teachers, and wider professionals to build a shared understanding and create positive change. Sessions are always tailored to the child’s developmental stage, interests, and preferred ways of communicating, whether that’s through talking, drawing, play, or creative activities. I am committed to creating a calm, non‑judgemental space where young people and parents feel heard and understood. I offer face-to-face sessions from Bedford Consulting Rooms or remotely via video conferencing.
Outside of work, I find joy in the simple, grounding moments that keep me connected to what matters most. I love spending time with my three young children, enjoying weekends away with friends, taking long walks, and snuggling on the sofa watching movies.
