Health Psychologist
I am a HCPC and BPS-registered Health Psychologist with 13 years’ experience across a wide range of NHS Health Psychology Services.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cardiff University and a Master’s in Science from King’s College, London. I completed my Doctoral Qualification in Health Psychology with the British Psychological Society in 2016 whilst working in NHS Grampian, Aberdeen.
My work focuses on supporting people living with long-term health conditions, with a particular interest in fatigue, burnout and persistent physical symptoms. I help people understand and navigate the complex relationship between their mind and body, and use a range of evidence-based psychological approaches to support individuals improve their mental and physical health.
I am trained and experienced in using a range of therapeutic models and approaches with people living with physical health difficulties, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness approaches.
I offer a compassionate and collaborative space where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered with practical tools and evidence-based strategies to help you manage challenges, reduce distress, and regain a greater sense of control over your health and wellbeing while working with, rather than against, your biology.
I offer appointments online via secure Zoom video calls or face to face in Bedford, depending on what feels right for you.
You’ll often find me tending to my allotment, spending time with family and friends, or getting outdoors to enjoy nature whether that’s a peaceful walk or just taking in some fresh air. I also love getting lost in a good book, and whenever I can find the time, I may be found playing my violin. These moments help me slow down, stay grounded, and remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and doing the things that nourish us.
